Welcome!

I’m Dr. Rebecca Preston

I’m a clinical psychologist with over 10 years experience. I work with adults who are looking to bring more fulfillment and peace into their lives. I have extensive experience working with adults who are seeking support in managing life transitions, finding peace within trauma, improving their sleep, or changing their relationship with food. I also provide psychological evaluations.

About Me

Welcome! Let me first say that I am so glad you made the courageous leap to reach out. Life often presents us with tough stuff - this is actually a fundamental aspect of being human. However, we are not meant to go through life, particularly tough parts of life, alone. What I can offer you is a safe and trusting place to share the tough stuff with the mutual goal of learning new tools to make peace and overcome whatever life brings you.

I have over 10 years of clinical experience working in large medical settings (VA, outpatient medical center, inpatient hospital) and now in private practice. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to building a strong, nonjudgmental relationship with a focus on evidence-based treatment. I want to equip you with tools that empower you to lead a richer, fuller and more meaningful life so that ultimately you can thrive on your own.

I have training in insomnia (CBT-I), nightmares (CBT-N, N-IRT), mindfulness practices (MBSR and Mindful Self Compassion), trauma treatment, and disordered eating. In my recent past, I served as a national trainer for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. I am also a certified counselor in Intuitive Eating.
